scrapping MACHINE

I’ve been super busy over the weekend and done a heap of pages for my album for our Christmas trip to England.  Here are my layouts from the past few day.  Not much else to post – hope you enjoy looking at the pix.

Chilly?

We don't look toooooo bad seeing as we'd just been off the plane from Australia!

Self-timers on the camera rock

He was very, very excited!

Not totally happy with the title - need to figure out how to make it pop a bit more.

Same problem with this title!

I used the sketch from Scrap Therapy's Cyber Scrap Challenge for this one. Really like this sketch. You had to do some distressing/painting and/or inking for this one too.

Recognise the sketch? Yup, did two pages using it, but they will be quite a few pages apart so don't think anyone would notice.

I used Rachel's Heidi Swapp distresser on these pix - I want one now!

Great scupltures!

I made this last weekend (I think) but forgot to share it with you. It's a set of flatpack drawers from Kaiser and covered with their new prairie lane collection and with a rubon on the top. nice i thought.

seasoned with sugar

Well, two weeks into the Seasoned Scrapper over at Little Scrapbook Shop and I have two nice OTPs to show off.  Week One saw us making covers for a book to record our Seasoned Scrapping work in.  I can’t say I love mine, but it’s alright.

Cover of my note book for Seasonsed Scrapper - used some Krafty Kutz, some patterned papers by My Little Shoebox, letter stickers by Basic Grey (and some ancient TLC ones), some foam Thickers and some DM and Kindyglitz.

This week the challenge was to follow Deanne’s instruction for making a very cool box with cocertina fold slots to hold the cards we make over the year.  We also had to make sure our card what ‘summery’ in feel.  I was pretty pleased with how mine turned out – nothing fancy but it’s neat, accurate and bright.  The instructions on how to make it are here.

Not many materials to make this one, black card, patterned paper from Basic Grey's Lemonade range and foam Thickers.

Anyway, I’m off to continue scrapping some of our holiday photos from our trip to England.  Hopefully I can find some inspiration!!!

useless, but cool

October 6, 2009 at 7:38 am (Hand made things by me) (, , , )

I have no idea what the proper name for these things are, but I’ve been loving what I’ve seen in some Perth scrap shops (especially Scraptivate and Scrapbooking To Di For) and I bought some ‘bits’ to make one myself.  I’ve never made something like this before but I’m quite happy with how it turned out, although not half as good as the stuff I’ve seen in Perth.  Maybe one day I’ll get to go to one of these done in a class.  Here’s dreaming.   Anyway, here are some pix of my latest creation.

I used a sheet of double-sided Creative Imaginations patterned paper for the outside of the boxes, the box linings were some scraps of a plain burgundy sheet of basic grey paper and the plain green side of a Kaiser patterned paper from the Dash It All Away range.

The swirl at the top is a wooden Kaisercraft shape which I inked black and coated in Dimensional Magic.

Lovely and textured - still reckon there is more room for dimension I think.

Carolee Creations Tiny Chocolate letter stickers, random flowers (not sure of the brand) and a little fence I made from chopped up match sticks and some gold coloured wire.

Another flower from a no-name bag, little die-cut birdie from Chook Scraps that I inked with copper ink and edged in black ink then added a Kaisercraft Pearl and stuck on using some foam dots.

Random ancient chipboard heart covered in some of the paper I lined some of the boxes with, more Kaisercraft Pearls and a little jiggley bubble from I-Kandee (I think that was the name on the packet which went in the bin about 3 or 4 years ago!).
