wedding bells (and belles)

Super, super tired after a HUGE weekend.

Thursday was a long day, after finishing work we drove to Perth for pre-wedding family bbq at the Grandparent’s place.  Lovely, but soooo tired by the time we got to bed.

Friday saw total mayhem and craziness, 6 people staying in parents-in-law house (including the Groom and then the groomsmen turned up too) all getting ready for wedding (including us girls getting our hair and make up done at Carousel, Mr Petit and his dad driving the groom’s car to Freo, and Mr Petit having to get a hair cut).  Already with only some yelling by midday and drive to wedding.  Lovely day, perfect weather, beautiful setting, great food at the reception, no one went nuts at the wedding.  The maid of honour was VERY pregnant (she was due on Saturday).  They re-arranged the speeches so she could go first, then she left straight after (about 9:30) and went to the hospital.  She had had a little girl by 10:30.  Fast worker!

Here are some pix of me and Mr Petit (note how lovely we look at the start, then rather messy after the reception, hehe).

Saturday was much calmer – Mr  Petit’s sister and I went to Fremantle to watch a friend play netball in the arvo which was relaxing and had another family bbq in the afternoon.  Ate too much, laughed so hard my face hurt 🙂

This morning Mr Petit and his dad headed north for a few days of fishing.  Silly Mr Petit forgot his phone, so won’t get to talk to him until he gets home on Wednesday night, I’ll miss him I think.  This morning I went to Freo with his mum and sis for breakfast (smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel and a cappuccino – delicious).  We had a look around the markets but they were pretty rubbish.  I drove home this afternoon which was boring (and long), getting ready for the working week now (yay).  Lots of washing and ironing to do in front of the telly tonight.
